“search_me_as.jpeg” is an attempt towards a radically technical perception of landscape. For the exhibition at the galery 12-14 contemporary all data that was collected during a field trip to a security-fair in london and to the “surface” of EU-Visa-Schengen central data storage in St. Johann in Pongau which is hidden under neath a ski-resort. This material was translated into vectors using just the meteadata of the .movs, .wavs and .jpegs. A CNC-milling machine was performing those movements to treat the gypsum plates. In the exhibition, these artifacts overlap with the video and audio recordings of the security fair and the footage of the alpine landscape, whose green surface denies a deeper insight into the data center. In the exhibition, the visually perceptible part of the video recordings of the mountain landscape and the security fair are oushed into the background, while its metadata become the main actors.
